For CPL Course
As per DGCA guidelines, an applicant for a Commercial Pilot Licence shall satisfy the following requirements:
- Age: Not less than eighteen years of age on the date of application.
- Educational Qualification: Should have passed Class Ten plus Two or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics, from a recognised Board/University.
- Medical Fitness: Should have passed Class-I medical exam from approved medical centres.
For admission into flying course at AAI, one has to be 17 ½ years of age. This enables one to be able to sit for ATO and DGCA license conversion when he completes flying and ground training syllabi.
For ATPL Course
Holders of Indian CPL with 500 hours of flying experience are eligible to take
the ATPL exams with DGCA.
For Licence Conversion Course
Holders of a valid CPL from countries other than India are eligible for this course. You have to appear in an 'Air Regulation' paper and a composite paper covering Meteorology, Navigation, Flight Planning, Radio Aids, and Instruments.
