AAIPI has procured and meticulously maintains a large fleet of aircrafts, taking into account the training needs and other commitments of AAI. The aircraft to student ratio is maintained at 1:8.
  • Cessna 150/152: AAI uses Cessna 150/152 as a basic trainer. This aircraft is designed to ease you into the flight environment with a roomy and well oriented cockpit. These aircraft are simple to fly and are forgiving. You will feel right at home when you get in the cockpit.
  • Cessna 172 R/SP (Autopilot): AAI uses Cessna 172 R/SP as advanced single engine trainer. This aircraft is laid out much like our basic trainers, yet has more advanced systems, avionics and auto pilot. These planes are more complicated to fly and require a higher level of skill to operate. The Academy aircraft are equipped with advanced avionics like ILS, VOR, and GPS thereby introducing the trainee to modern avionics from the start.
  • Piper Seneca II (Auto Pilot): AAI uses Piper Seneca II for multi-engine training. This aircraft is the most complex of the fleet, utilising two engines. This aircraft flies much faster and with more complex systems. You will become a well versed pilot proficient in complex aircraft operations.
  • Hobbs Meter: AAIPI has equipped all the aircraft with Hobbs Meter for ease and accuracy of flight recording.
  • Safety Equipment: All aircrafts are equipped with Transponders and required survival and safety equipment including life vest etc. AAIPI mandates life jackets and life rafts for flights over water.
