Home > Student Life > Discipline
AAI is of the opinion that discipline on the ground reflects discipline in the air. Therefore, we view it seriously and adopt the policy of ‘No Compromise’ on disciplinary aspects. The Chief Instructor is the final authority on flying discipline. Any indiscipline in the air would result in automatic suspension.
Code of Conduct
The students are asked to live by a strict code of conduct. The existence of the honour code presents many privileges and responsibilities to each student. A student's word is accepted as the truth at all times. The honour code of conduct is administered by the Student Governing Body.
Student Governing Body
AAI will have a student governing body will serve all students and represents the student body to the faculty. The governing body will consist of current students in good standing. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Represent AAI students to persons or groups outside of AAI.
- Exercise leadership in activities affecting the life of all students.
- Will discuss, deliberate and vote on any question relating to or affecting student life at AAI.
- Administer the honour code of conduct.
The Student Governing Body shall meet as necessary, at least once a month. AAI representatives will be in attendance if honour code of conduct issues are tabled for discussion.
Disciplinary Action
Disciplinary action would be taken at the behest of the disciplinary committee consisting of the Student Governing Body present and members of AAI Staff. The committee will hand out a written warning to the offending student. The body is empowered to recommend suspension of a student from the program when a second written warning is handed out. All criminal offences will be handed over to the local law enforcement agencies. |
