Geography and Climate
AAI-Philippines is located at the new Bacolod-Silay City International Airport in Silay City, capital of the province of Negros Occidental in Philippines. It is a short forty five minute flight from Manila, the capital of Philippines.
The province experiences rainfall during the southwest monsoon period from June to October, which is the wet season. November to May is the dry season and the hottest time of the year is from March to May. Max temperature ranges from 25 to 32 degrees centigrade round the year.
Population and Commerce/Industry
Bacolod is mostly an urbanised town with all modern amenities available. The population is friendly and known for their hospitality and warmth. Commercial establishments such as banks, retail establishments, shopping malls and restaurants dot the town. Bacolod was given the ‘Hall of Fame’ award for being the cleanest and greenest city in Philippines. |
